The grass IS greener on the other side.
Today, I want to share a success story of another doggy who would have been my friend, if we did not happen to go to different ends of the world. My daddy took Tayko along to Germany to a better for ever home. Here is what he reports:
“After I have been neglected in a flat in Dubai and dropped at foster care to never being picked up again, Aruna found a new home for me in a colder country. With much warmer-hearted humans. I could feel the love coming and stayed in my little box completely calm. I want from hands to hands, to the underbelly of the airport, to a big plane and up in the air. Nor much happened, except some noise and shake. Not food and action for 6 hours. But then I got out through some more doors and finally saw new mommy and daddy, Verena and Quirin.
They took me in their car and just made to a forest road before I finally had to pee. (I did not during the entire long flight!). And SURPRISE, there were two other huskies waiting for me to play at my new home. Such a pleasure. Love to walk with Haku, another husky boy, just a little older than me.
And now I am exploring all the new smells, the mud, the grass, the old branches on the path. And something really strange - some cold white stuff that turns into water when you lick on it. I only licked a bit, but it’s all gone anyway. Mommy says there will be more soon. Falling from the sky, can you imagine? There has even been water coming down for many days now. And I could not see where they mounted the shower so far…
I will keep exploring. But to all huskies in Dubai: There is a world out here where it’s not hot and sandy. And - the grass IS GREENER here. I am happy!!”
